We recommend that your installation take place on a network server. However, it is possible to install Qasper and its related database on any computer in your network, including any user's desktop computer, provided that the computer has sufficient resources and is running either Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro.

Database selection and installation

Except for the database, Qasper does not require any special server software. We recommend SQL Server 2000 or later or mySQL V4.14 or later. Earlier versions of these databases do not provide the required functionality to support Qasper.

After installing your database, run the appropriate SQL script to create the Qasper database, tables and initial data. SQL scripts for both SQL Server and mySQL are included in the installation package.
