Although it doesn't happen very often, there are occasional updates to the Qasper Desktop applications: 

Qasper Import 
Qasper Offline Desktop
Qasper Report Designer 
Qasper Sync

When you run the application it will notify you if an update is available. For the latest version information click here.

If you are running Qasper Online Corporate (workgroup) (see the section following for the Personal version):

1. Notify your administrator that a desktop application has changed.

2. Your administrator will download a new version of Qasper Online that includes the updated desktop application.

3. After the administrator advises that a new version has been installed, log into Qasper as usual. 

4. From your Home page, either:

- click the button [Desktop apps] on the right side of the page, or 

- click the link at the bottom of the [Information] tab that says: 

Click here to get Qasper Desktop applications

5. When the page opens:

a. If you need all the desktop applications excluding Qasper Sync, click 

   [Step 1: Download Desktop Applications]

b. If you need a new version of Qasper Sync, click 

   [Step 2 (optional): Download Outlook Sync].

c. If you need the offline version, follow the Step 3 buttons.

and follow the installation instructions.

6. After installation restart your computer.

If you are running Qasper Personal :

1. Select Start > Control panel > Add/Remove programs (or, in Vista, Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program).

2. Uninstall the following if you find them in the list:

a. Cassini Qasper Service

b. Qasper Personal and/or Qasper Personal (Vista compliant)

c. Qasper Desktop sans Sync (Vista compliant) 

d. Qasper Outlook Synchronization (Vista compliant)

e. UltiDev Cassini Web Server Explorer

f. UltiDev Cassini Web Server for ASP.NET 1.1

3. Restart your computer.

4. Log into your account at: http://qasper.com/qasperpurchase/qasper_custsetup.aspx

5. Click the [Download] button to move to the file download page.

6. Follow Steps 2 through 5. You do not have to reboot after installing Qasper Personal in Step 2 since you have other steps to take. But do reboot after all installs are complete. 

For Qasper Free Personal, some of the options may not be available.

7. Restart your computer again.

Notes:

1. After you install and reboot, when you start Qasper Personal, there may be up to 2 requests to restart Qasper Personal following some internal updating Qasper Personal has to do.

2. Qasper Offline Desktop has 2 functions: online/offline synchronizing with a central workgroup database and uploading dictation. When you run Desktop, it will not display the online/offline synchronizing options because you are using Qasper Personal, not Qasper Corporate/Workgroup.
