Qasper - Ensuring continual data processing

Qasper provides a special function through its desktop synchronization application that runs in background on your desktop computer and maintains data mirroring between a small database residing on your computer and Qasper's central database.

Client-side redundancy

Client-side redundancy requires the installation of Qasper Offline. From your Home page, click the "Get Qasper Desktop applications" link and follow the instructions to download the Qasper Desktop Applications.

By installing Qasper's desktop Synchronization Manager, you have the option to tell Qasper that all changes to the central database affecting you be replicated to a database residing on your personal computer.

Accessing Qasper Synchronization Manager

Client-side redundancy is turned off by default

To turn it on, access Qasper Synchronization Manager by double clicking the icon (or right clicking and selecting "Restore") in the bottom right area of your computer screen (the system tray).

There are tabs to view the sync log, set preferences, temporarily suspend synchronization or manually force synchronization.

Under the [Settings] tab, select or deselect the Client-side redundancy option, depending on your requirements.

Client-side redundancy settings are available under the [Redundancy] tab:

Qasper Synchronization starts when you start your computer, although you can also start it by selecting Start > Programs > Qasper ? Qasper Outlook sync. You can stop Qasper Desktop by restoring it from the system tray, and clicking [Close].
